VOGUE covers

Fashion in pictures from the early 20th century, featured in VOGUE magazine.

Today I will not write about the history of the creation of this wonderful magazine, we have already mentioned it at style.techinfus.com/en/, so this publication contains only beautiful illustrations - selected covers of VOGUE, 1920 -1930s.

The size of the illustrations is slightly smaller than the standard photos on the site, but there is nothing to be done, the choice was not great. Few of the magazines of those times remain, even fewer of them have survived in good condition. The books of that time were mostly frayed and look terrible, what to speak of magazines.

I have had to buy vintage books, early 20th century and earlier, sorting through a whole cupboard of old books. At the same time came across magazines, or rather what is left of them. True fashion magazines, and even more so VOGUE magazines, or at least VOGUE covers, I have never met in real life. Although this is not surprising, in Russia in the 1920s and 1930s, there was a completely different ideology that preached different values ​​to citizens, and the VOGUE magazine was a hostile phenomenon for it.
